The First Era
- The First Rising
- Talia was born with the rising of the sun. She explored the land she had been born into, flying the skies and absorbing the warmth of the sun. She scoured the land for someone to share the world with, and found nothing and no one.
- When the sun was at its highest point, a golden canary flew down from the brightness of the light and settled in Talia’s shoulder. She became Talia’s companion, her sister, and they explored the world together.
- The First Setting
- The Gray One was born with the setting of the sun. They opened their eyes to see the light of the moon and felt absolute calm and contentment. Then Talia found them and was so enthused to discover someone else, but The Gray One merely wanted to be left alone.
- But Talia didn’t want to leave The Gray One alone, she was worried but The Gray One merely wanted solitude. They wouldn’t mind company, just not so enthusiastic, boisterous company.
- The First Midnight
- When the moon was highest in the sky for the first time, Arlu stepped out of the darkest shadows and into the moonlight. Arlu was born differently, they came into the world as a child, frightened and alone as Talia, Canary, and The Gray One all were asleep and didn’t notice Arlu.
- The Shaping
- Put out by The Gray One’s desire to be left alone, Talia decided she would make her own companions. She created the Wood Elves and the Sun Elves and gifted them with wisdom and a love of nature and the sun.
- Seeing this, The Gray One was inspired to make their own companions; they created the High Elves and Moon Elves and gifted them with intelligence.
- The Afterlife
- Arlu had discovered their purpose and it horrified them, souls of the dead were drawn to Arlu. They collected the souls of the dead, carrying the weight of the deceased on their back. Eventually it grew too great for them and they had to find a place to deposit the souls.
- They created the Afterlife, a plane beneath the material that would hold the souls of the deceased.
- The First Year
- As seasons passed more gods were born.
- Summer brought Vepkhia. When summer transitioned into Winter it was abrupt and the Elves weren’t ready for the sudden change. Many lives were lost and so Vepkhia, with the blessing of Arlu, brought Harl and Renn into being. The twins would ease the passage of the seasons.
- Talia and The Gray One realized that the Elves needed more to survive; they needed to thrive and actually live. So they gave power to the land, sea, sky, and underground; Berengari, Kameno, Glaurin, and Diata were born.
- The Flourishing
- For many years the gods were satisfied, happy, and pleased with the world they had helped to shape. Except for Arlu, who wandered through the night and slept through the day, alone and scared.
- The world was flourishing, the elves learning and growing and developing.
- The first demigod ascended, Rose, the first priestess of Renn. She achieved greatness in her life and absolutely embodied what the gods looked for in a mortal; kind, charitable, wise, and passionate. She loved Renn fiercely and devoted her life unconditionally to her. In return Renn raised her up into a demigoddess.
- Berengari and Glaurin got together and married, the land and the sky were united and made the world beautiful.
